At the apex of all SEO efforts is how web designers present content. Even when a website has a comprehensive, all-encompassing literature, when the presentation of such is mediocre, people will not likely to stay or be converted to become subscribers.
Truth is, netizens are both visual and imperative users – they look at every side of a website – whether it is design properly, presented truly, and delivers great content. For new and up-coming websites to compete with strong brands in the industry, they need to start looking at web design more seriously. While affordable web design companies offer premium services nowadays, it does not mean that a company should let the agency run lose with whatever they want for the website.
Building a website from the ground up should be a two-way endeavour, and in order to do this, the company in question should work with web developers they are innately comfortable with working with. Also, those ones that have skills, abilities and the aesthetic that is suitable for the brand.
For starter companies looking to make the most out web design staples, here are some things you should look at:
Build your logo to a tee, first and foremost.
The company logo is the start of all branding and advertising efforts in the web. Polish your logo to perfection and mold the brand and the web design aesthetic from it. Make sure that your logo stands for whatever your core values are. Pick the colors that will represent your brand, and that color, or colors, should be the theme of your website. Don’t go anywhere else. Your logo is where you should look at.
Do not overload visuals.
This much is true: photo and text overlays is the norm these days in presenting content. It is very tempting to go overboard with images to make your website more visually-stylized, but consider yourself cautioned: not all photos, illustrations, and generic eye candies should be presented within your homepage.
The rule of the thumb usually is, one photo for one page. In your homepage, tell a story by piecing in several pages with corresponding coherent content. Make sure that colors are complementary and stray away from useless navigational options.
Create the illusion of white space.
In traditional front pages of newspapers, white space is a no-no. In homepages, white space is a yes. A web designing firm in Abu Dhabi says that giving your audience a breathing space in between content is clinically effective in making your website more endearing. One thing though, limit the use of it on the homepage and some of your pages, as excessive usage will result to your website looking bare.
